Dar voce ai tessuti : tagliare, scucire e ricucire le storie di cui siamo fatti

  • Il presente contributo pone l'accento sull'intreccio tra arte tessile e narrazione autobiografica come strumento per portare in luce e ridefinire le storie che l'individuo si trova "cucite addosso" a sua stessa insaputa sin dalla nascita (Mancino, 2021) e che rimandano ad un ambiente non solo fisico, ma anche familiare, sociale e culturale. Viene fatto, in particulare, riferimento ai lavori di Giovanna Del Grande, fiber artist e membro del Gruppo di ricerca"Trame educative" dell'Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca. l'artista da tempo utilizza la metafora tessile in contesti pedagogico formativi per promuovere e valorizzare la narrazione di sé in soggetti adulti, con un mrtodo che consiste nel mettere le persone in condizione di dar voce e, al tempo stesso, nuova vita al proprio archivio tessile, ovvero alle stoffe e agli indume?ti riposti nell'armadio e non più utilizzati.
  • Dopo aver illustrato il modo in cui Del Grande invita, nel corso dei suoi workshop, a ricavare da tali archivi tessili dei tessuti cui dare nuova forma e nuova vita attraverso ago, filo e parole, l'articolo pone l'accento sul progetto "Pelle 2", che tratta della realizzazione di una "tunica narrante", personalizzabile con immagini, decorazioni e parole che la rendano una vera e propria "autobiografia tessile" e che la fiber artist ha in progetto di sperimentare prossimamente con le detenute impiegate nella sartoria del carcere di Pozzuoli.   • This contribution emphasizes the intertwining of textile art and autobiographical narration as a tool to bring to light and r?define the stories that the are unknowingly stitched on the individual since birth (Mancino, 2021) and which refer to an environment that is not only physical, but also related to family, society and culture. In particular, the article references the works of Giovanna Del Grande, fiber artist and member of the Trame educative research Group of Bicocca University. She uses the textile metaphor in pedagogical training contexts to promote and enhance sel?narration in adult subjects, by allowing people to give voice and, at the same time, new life to their own textile archive: fabrics and clothing stored in their wardrobe and no long er used. After illustrating the way in which Del Grande invites, during her workshops, to obtain fabrics from these textile archives which can be given new shape and new life through needle, thread and words,.
  • The article focuses on the project Pelle 2 which deals with the creation of a narrative tunic customizable with images, decorations and words that make it a real textile autobiography and which the fiber artist plans to create soon with the inmates employed in the tailoring of the prison of Pozzuoli.
