This study, presented at the 12th Leonardo Sciascia Colloquium held in Rome on the 7th and 8th of October 2021 offers an in-depth examinationof Sciascia's and Primo Levi's stance on Nazi crimes and executioners during a period (from the end of the 1970s to the beginning of the 1980s) in which Europe experienced a wave of strong Holocaust denial, in which the existence of gas chambers and extermination camps was questioned.
