Turismo e territorio, un caso nel sud Italia tra politiche e mutamenti territoriali

L'articolo indaga le relazioni tra le politiche per il turismo (e le forme di pianificazione urbanistica che stimolano) e le contemporanee trasformazioni territoriali legate al turismo nel Sud Italia, nel periodo che dal secondo dopoguerra giunge alla Politica Europea di Coesione fino al 2020. Il contributo si struttura in due parti: una è relativa alla risposta del Mezzogiorno ai diversi modelli di fruizione suggeriti dalle politiche per il turismo dagli anni '50 ad oggi; l'altra riguarda le proposte per il turismo previste dalle politiche di sviluppo locale per l'Area Grecanica, lembo sud della Calabria jonica. In conclusione, si riflette circa la crescente scarsa capacità di istituire una relazione fertile e convergente tra programmazione turistica e sue ricadute territoriali. [Testo dell'editore].

The article investigates the relationships between tourism policies (and the forms of urban planning they stimulate) and contemporary tourism related territorial transformations in Southern Italy from post World War II to the period of the European Cohesion Policy until 2020. The contribution is structured in two parts: one, concerning the response of Southern Italy to the different patterns of fruition suggested by tourism policies from the 1950s to the present; the other, concerning the proposals for tourism envisaged by local development policies for the Grecanica Area, the southern edge of Ionian Calabria. In conclusion, we reflect on the growing lack of capacity to establish a fruitful and convergent relationship between tourism planning and its territorial spillovers. [Publisher's Text].
