Il sito neolitico di Sergnano (CR) nell'ambito dell'aspetto culturale del Vhò.
P. 179-192
During some works concerning a new SNAM plant, a Neolithic settlement was identified in Sergnano consisting of numerous structures rich in ceramic material, knapped lithic artefacts, polished stone and fauna. The contexts brought to light consist of structures with negative morphology and various dimensions, among which several were paleosoil strips preserved inside depressed areas and some artificial pits called structures (1-7). In this article we produce the first data on the investigated archaeological evidence and the results of the preliminary study on the materials.
The characteristics of the pottery production and of knapped lithic artefacts infer that the site of Sergnano could be ascribed to the Early Neolithic Vhò cultural aspect. Based on the preliminary results and excavation documentation, it is not possible to propose an internal evolution of the site, which can be dated to the centuries between the end of VI and the beginning of the V millennium BC in calibrated chronology.
