Diventare anziani in emigrazione rappresenta da sempre una sfida per i diretti protagonisti, per i familiari, anch'essi immigrati o rimasti in patria, ma anche per il loro intorno sociale e per il sistema di welfare di riferimento. Il testo esplora il tema, evidenziando come il ruolo e le caratteristiche dell'essere anziano sono un aspetto importante tra quelli definiti dalla cultura di una società, e possono rappresentare un elemento di incontro (o scontro) fra approcci valoriali diversi.
