  • Respite di Harun Farocki (2007) pone una riflessione su certe immagini che la Storia ha prodotto, così come su altre che invece non avrebbe voluto produrre, e che pure ci sono arrivate. I frammenti di girato a Westerbork si ricaricano di valore testimoniale per via della trattazione che mentre estetizza configura una vera e propria ermeneutica. Obiettivo del paper è dunque, attraverso l'analisi del film, individuare nella pratica del found footage precipue forme di interpretazione della Storia che, con le giuste premesse (e cautele) filosofiche ed epistemologiche, potrebbero assurgere a vera e propria metodologia storiografica.   • Respite by Harun Farocki (2007) reflects on certain images that history has produced, as well as on others that it would not have wanted to produce, yet which have also come down to us. The fragments shot in Westerbork are recharged with testimonial value due to the treatment which, while aestheticizing, forms an actual hermeneutic. The objective of the paper is therefore, through the analysis of the film, to identify in the practice of found footage the main forms of interpretation of history which, with the right philosophical and epistemological premises (and precautions), could become a full-fledged historiographic methodology.
