Miti di trasformazione : morte e risurrezione dell'Ucraina : mitopoesi storica dall'età moderna a quella contemporanea
41-59 p.
In modern and contemporary history are set the 'myths of transformation' that describe to the general public how Ukraine has become a nation, how this nation has been oppressed by Tsarist and Communist Russia, and how it finally risen in 1991 The construction of this narrative, whose origins date back to 1800 and whose authority is sanctioned by the great work of Mykhailo Hrushevs'kyi, is being developed and disclosed by the great apparatus built by the new republic, the day after its independence, consisting of scholars, textbooks, media, public celebrations and powered by political forces indipendentistes, from the Orange to the Nazis. Despite the intense efforts of numerous historians, critical of this approach, politics, school and the media continue to spread these myths. [Publishers' text].
