Plurilinguismo a scuola : opportunità, risorse, vantaggi e criticità

Il contributo intende fornire un sintetico panorama di quanto negli anni èandato consolidandosi nelle nostre scuole in materia di plurilinguismo. Dopo una breve introduzione in cui vengono forniti dati aggiornati sulla presenza di alunni e alunne stranieri/e negli istituti scolastici italiani, si fa cenno a ciò che la loro presenza ha comportato per le scuole nel corso degli anni. Si passa poi a illustrare in maniera essenziale le criticità più evidenti legate alla loro presenza e relative a tutti i soggetti che agiscono nell'universo di una scuola e all'istituzione scolastica nel suo complesso. Il contributo descrive poi un progetto finalizzato all'apprendimento delle lingue e soprattutto alla promozione del plurilinguismo e realizzato in alcune scuole lombarde grazie al partenariato tra Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per la Lombardia e Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) - Università di Toronto

The article aims to provide a brief summary of what has been realized in Italian schools as far as plurilingualism is concerned.After a short introduction where figures concerning foreign students in Italian schools are provided, the article mentions what schools have designed and realized in the last decades. Critical issues are then examined, regarding all the different subjects involved: students, families, teachers and schools.An international project about language learning and plurilingualism is then described. The project was realized thanks to a partnership between Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per la Lombardia and Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) - University of Toronto. It was coordinated by Professor Enrica Piccardo and Inspector Gisella Langè during the school year 2020-2021 and was entirely carried out on line
