L'interporto di freeeste, a una decina di chilometri dallo scalo marittimodi Trieste e collegato strettamente ai flussi che dal ‘Corridoio Adriatico' si spingono all'Europa del nord, è uno degli esempi della ‘dispersione' dell'infrastruttura portuale versol'interno. A partire dalla dimensione materiale delle traiettorie di espansione del porto, questo articolo indaga i cambiamenti riguardanti non solo le aree costiere, ma anche uno spazio e un tempo estesi e dilatati rispetto al presente. Freeeste freight hub, about ten kilometers from Trieste seaport and closely connected to the flows that from the ‘Adriatic Corridor' extend towards northern Europe, is one of the examples of the inland infrastructural ‘dispersion' of the port. Starting from the material dimension of its expansion trajectories, this article investigates the changes concerning not only the coastal areas, but also a space and a time that are extended and dilated with respect to the present. These changes place Trieste within broader flows of mutation and transit, and a long history of industrial and productive transformation. [Publisher's text]
