In the autumn 2021, university students protested in front of the Bo in Padua, enlightening the city a latent but now evident problem, until that moment denied or not considered: the dramatic lack for student affordable accommodations. Student housing is â€revealed' as an urgent prob-lem in a city where student presence has been underestimated, if not completely neglected. The paper highlights the surprising lack of specific knowledge on student housing conditions despite the high number of students enrolled and investigates some aspects of students living through the results very limited for the moment of some research on student housing conditions.
