Nature urbane : rinaturalizzare la città (post)industriale, l'esempio di Brescia

Il processo di reintroduzione della natura in ambito urbano viene analizzato in questo contributo attraverso l'ottica della social nature e dell'urban political ecology (UPE), ricostruendo le dinamiche di interazione fra città e natura per andare oltre la dicotomia che le ha sempre caratterizzate. In particolare si ricostruisce lo sviluppo teorico della UPE in merito all'urbanizzazione della natura e al metabolismo urbano, caratterizzato da processi socioecologici strettamente interconnessi. Si ripercorrono quindi brevemente alcune teorieurbane che, dal primo novecento ad oggi, analizzano come la natura entri in gioco nelle diverse fasi di sviluppo della città industriale e postindustriale. L'approccio teorico è poi applicato al caso studio di Brescia, come esempio di città (post)industriale italiana, per valutare le dinamiche di rinaturalizzazione nella città lombarda. The contribution examines the process of reintroducing nature into the urban environment through the perspective of social nature and urban political ecology, reconstructing the interaction between city and nature and overcoming the dichotomy that has always characterized them. In particular, following the UPE, the analysis specifically investigates the urbanization of nature and the urban metabolism, with theidea that interconnected socioecological processes characterize it. The third section briefly review some urban theories, from the early twentieth century, dealing with what part the nature plays in the different phases of urban development and how it is conceived in Rivista geografica relation to the industrial and postindustrial city. The last section applied this approach to the Brescia case study, as an example of an Italian (post)industrial city, to evaluate how the city has been renaturalized. [Publisher's text].
