The article examines how the Risorgimento is now presented in Italian text-books for secondary schools. By analysing a sample of 38 works currently on the market, it reflects on the authors, on the normative and editorial conditions in which they work, on the space, on the proposed periodisations, on the historiographical categories employed, and finally on the reception of the most up-to-date scholarship on this topic.
