In this paper I describe a particular didactic strategy that can be used in order to facilitate children's inquiry on philosophical puzzles and paradoxes. The strategy consists of three basic moves: first, let children's convictions emerge; second, present a stimulus that challenges children's convictions; finally, help children to appreciate the clash and to explore it. The strategy is grounded on the view that most philosophical problems depend on a clash among our intuitions and convictions. I shall show a concrete application of this strategy on a puzzle about the metaphysics of identity that is based on the story of the Ship of Theseus. [Publisher's text].
