The mafia crimes, despite having a deep impact on the community life, are not perceived as a threat as much as minor violations of the criminal code. This article presents the results of a case study designed to bring out the perception of the Province of Latina students about the complex phenomenon of organized crime and how that perception is influenced by its level of knowledge.
