Vite alla fine : spunti di riflessione su un'eterogeneità rimossa
134-138 p.
The end-of-life condition, frequently removed because of its complex implications at the individual, family, and social levels, tends to be associated with dichotomous and often simplified views. However, between the polarity that goes from acceptance to its removal, it is possible to retrace very heterogeneous visions, conceptions, practices, and resources, whose often for-gotten knowledge was already present in the studies of Glaser and Strauss that still open up on potential learnings. What contributes to the definition of the situation by the different actors (patients, caregivers, physicians, and nurses) involved? And what kind of posture is required of the Dying for their dignity to be respected? Recovering reflection on these aspects is fore-shadowed as a necessary path to enhance the human condition until the very last moments of existence. [Publisher's text].
