This contribution examines some of the critical material published tomark Leonardo Sciascia's centenary (2021). An overview of this materialseeks to show the extent of the dynamism and vitality which distinguishesthe writer from Racalmuto, now considered a twentieth-century classic.However this focus also seeks to some extent to examine the state of thediscipline of Sciascia Studies, identifying not only constants which now arewell-established, but above all identifying new additions, deviations, andunsettling interpretations, as well as some ingenuousness and misstepstaken by the author of A ciascuno il suo over the course of his long career.
