"Instrumentum promissionis librorum de la Fulina" : i libri trasmessi da Pietro Barbo al monastero di Santa Maria di Follina nel 1452

On 24 April 1452 Tiziano Carretta, the administrator of Santa Maria di Follina (Treviso) received various books for the monastery's library from Cardinal Pietro Barbo, bishop of Vicenza and the future pope Paul II, and the commendatory abbot of the monastery, who gave them on behalf of his brother Paolo. The delivery of the manuscripts is recorded by an instrumentum drawn up in Venice in which they are listed and their contents and material features described. [Publisher's text]
