This book reviews the impact of the monetary, ecological and political crisis on Indonesia's agricultural sector based on farmer incomes and strategies. In 1998, millions of export-oriented tree crop farmers saw their incomes grow considerably, while food crop farmers, facing adverse economic and climatic conditions, were already struggling to survive.
