L'infrastruttura ferroviaria come attore territoriale : strategie e tattiche di riuso nella valle della Roya

I violenti temporali dell'ottobre 2020 hanno causato gravi danni al territorio della valle della Roya, una zona transfrontaliera di media montagna tra Francia e Italia. La linea ferroviaria Nizza-Ventimiglia-Breil-Cuneo, che attraversa questo territorio, è stata l'unica infrastruttura in grado di rispondere all'emergenza e ha riaperto il dibattito sul riuso delle stazioni ferroviarie, un importante patrimonio del XX secolo, oggi in gran parte abbandonato. L'articolo si propone di analizzare e mettere in prospettiva le esperienze di innovazione socio-spaziale che permettono all'infrastruttura ferroviaria di rivelarsi come una risorsa territoriale, capace di proporre nuove pratiche di vita in armonia con l'ambiente costruito e naturale. The violent bad weather of October 2020 deeply damaged the territory of the Roya valley, an internal cross-border area between France and Italy. The Nice/Vintimille-Breil-Cuneo rail-way line, which crosses this mountain area, was the only infrastructure capable of responding to the emergency and has rekindled the debate on the reuse of stations, a significant heritage of the twentieth century, now largely abandoned. The article proposes to analyze and put into perspective the socio-spatial innovation experiences that allow the railway infrastructure to reveal itself as a territorial resource, capable of proposing new living practices in harmony with the built and natural environment.
