The objective of this continuing research is a descriptive and comparative examination of the legal, legislative and administrative, the central and peripheral government institutes of the Spanish Imperial State in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries: the King, the Council of the Indies, the Viceroy and the Mexico's Real Audiencia.
