Gender Equality Charter Mark : uno strumento per certificare le buone pratiche contro gli stereotipi di genere nella scuola in Europa
142-164 p.
This paper aims to present an ongoing European project aimed to create, in the secondary schools, a structural change on the issue of equal opportunities, through the creation of an instrument called GECM, Gender Equality Charter Marks to cer-tify the good practices implemented by the same schools regarding these issues. It is a project carried out between Italy, England and Hungary and based on the collaboration of three universities and three non-governmental organizations in each of the three countries. The main objective of the project is to prevent and combat gender discrimination starting from the school, that, in fact, affects the realization of the person in the professional-social and private sphere.er equality remains a key target for the European Union with current priority areas including equal economic independence, equality in decision making and dignity, integrity and ending gender-based violence (Strategic Engagement for Equality Gender, 2015).
However progress has been made in producing employment laws and policies to make for a more work/life balance system for men and women, gender inequalities still exists. In 2015 women carried out 3/4 of household chores, 2/3 of childcare and were more likely to work part time and earn less. inal objective of the project is to disseminate the tool at European level so that the teachers have an available, clear and effective document to build a didactics and educational relations based on the enhancement of gender differences and the achievement of equality between men and women starting from school.
