La ricostruzione in Francia nel secondo dopoguerra e la questione dei centri storici : orientamenti bibliografici
167-204 p.
The bibliographic review offers a broad overview on the reconstruction after World War II in France. The bibliography does not claim to be exhaustive, but rather aims to provide a source for further insights. The reconstruction has been the subject of countless articles, reports and inquiries during the war and in the following years. However, critical and historical studies on reconstructed cities remained rare until the early 1970s. It was only at the beginning of the 1980s that reconstruction emerged as a research topic. However, the preservation of historic urban environment remained a marginal theme and nowadays it continues to be scarcely investigated, while the architecture of reconstruction is evolving as a new heritage asset. In order to facilitate consultation, the bibliography is organized into six main sections: general and reference works; historic centers and monuments; reconstruction in the regional contexts; the reconstruction as heritage; international comparative studies; electronic resource
s, websites, multimedia databases. [Publishers' text].
