Un ricordo di Marcello de Cecco

The aim is to outline the peculiar approach to the interpretation of economic events elaborated by Marcello de Cecco. This will be accomplished mainly by reference to two of his early works, "Saggi di politica monetaria" (1968) e "Economia e finanza internazionale" (1971), In addition it will be suggested that his interest in the working of the international monetary system and in monetary economics could be traced back to his early training in the University of Parma under the guidance of Antonio Pesenti in the late 50's.
