Per Germana Ernst
145-158 p.
Germana Ernst devoted most of her work to the study of Tommaso Campanella, basing the interpretation of his philosophical system on the attentive philological reconstruction of a large number of edited and inedited works. Taking into account Ernst's map of the biographical and intellectual journey of Campanella, this contribution try to present, through variations of recurrent motifs (freedom, prophetism, astrology, universal sentience, reform of knowledge), the fundamental themes of his philosophy. These elements as noted by Germana Ernst "result in a complex picture, which the author, striking out on tourtuous and intricate paths, intended to present as unified by a coherent vision".
