La conflittualità coniugale nel lungo '800 torinese
164-170 p.
Andrea Borgione's book deals with the theme of marital conflict in the 19th century on which there are few studies in Italy. Separations are analysed, above all, through the detailed study of judicial, ecclesiastical and secular sources; divorces, introduced only in the period of French occupation, during which several bills were proposed, are analysed through the press, pamphlets and parliamentary acts. By employing a qualitative and quantitative analysis, conjugal conflict is investigated in the context of the political, economic, demographic and cultural events of Turin's long 19th century, with particular attention to the migratory flows in the years that Turin was the capital city.
