Staring at the Stars in Palaiologan Constantinople : the Case of the Methodus Inveniendi Horoscopi by Demetrios Chloros
P. 81-116
The Methodus inveniendi horoscopi is the only known surviving work of Demetrios Chloros, a fourteenth century-Byzantine scholar. After a brief presentation of his profile, and a few remarks about the work, this contribution provides the edition of the Greek text, together with its English translation, and an examination of its manuscript tradition. In the appendices of the article, the revised Greek text of two political horoscopes generally attributed to John Abramios is included. [Publisher's text]
