Raffigurazioni dell'illuminismo negli scritti di Antonio Gramsci
700-716 p.
The article analyzes the different visions and evaluations of the Enlightenment in Gram sci's works, in particular in his political writings between 1915 and 1919 and in the Prison Notebooks. Gramsci inherited from idealistic historiography negative interpretative stereotypes of the Enlightenment as abstract rationalism, which are found in his early writings, but later reevaluated several aspects of 18th century thought and especially cosmopolitanism, also in opposition to the nationalism and irrationalism of Hitler's emerging Nazism.
