Les exilés italiens et la gauche française dans l'Entre-deux-guerres : retour sur une relation d'amitié et de collaboration
51-67 p.
With the advent of fascism, thousands of antifascists left Italy to exile in France where they rebuilt their political organizations, trade unions, newspapers, workers' cooperatives and even a publishing house. The exile in France represented a long period of political commitment and collaboration with French socialists and communists. Their support and solidarity have been decisive for spreading the values of antifascism among French public opinion and Italian immigrants. Exiles and emigrant women also contributed to anti fascist actions in France although they had been overlooked by histography. This article seeks to highlight their contribution giving them an identity. [Publisher's text].
