Duce dell'economia? L'antisemitismo di Maffeo Pantaleoni
151-166 p.
Maffeo Pantaleoni was a leading proponent of neoclassical economics in Italy. He was also an ardent nationalist and anti-socialist politician, with close ties to the Fascist movement. An important aspect of his intellectual biography, hitherto neglected by researchers, was his antisemitic propaganda after World War I. This paper discusses recent research on the relationship between economics and anti-Semitism, and a recent monograph on Pantaleoni, pointing out the type of his anti-Semitism in the year of his co direction of the Italian review La Vita Italiana.
