Storico, non moralista : alcune osservazioni sui Cattivi pensieri di Luigi Firpo e la sua polemica con Pier Paolo Pasolini
409-440 p.
The essay aims at explaining the reasons underpinning Luigi Firpo's polemic against Pier Paolo Pasolini. More specifically, the essay focuses on some of Firpo's articles written for the Italian newspaper "La Stampa" and then gathered in the two volumes of Cattivi pensieri, published in 1983 and 1999. By analyzing these articles, the essay shows that the debate between Firpo and Pasolini is grounded in the former's view of history; it entails ideas about sexuality and consumerism divergent from Pasolini's.
