Libertà senza capitali : la crisi bancaria sarda del 1887
46-70 p.
The Sardinian banking crisis in 1887 prefigured at a regional level a range of problems that a few months later would also emerge in the national banking crisis: a failure to diversify the portfolio, a lack of vigilance, inexperience and an absence of any serious rescue attemps by the issuing banks and the political classes. In the Sardinian case a shortage of capital and the weakness of the island's economy were additional factors. After the failure of its banking system, Sardinia would have to wait a long time to recover. [Publisher's text].
