Caratteri distintivi della sociologia urbana : per un'enciclopedia dei luoghi

The main aim of the article is to emphasize the peculiarity and importance of urban sociology, both in the more comprehensive framework of sociology and in the other so-called nonsociological disciplines dealing with spaces and territories. It also points out the paths of future development of the discipline - both as regards the themes and the methodologies - proposing, in particular, the creation of a Sociological Encyclopedia of Places as a further reflection tool for studying the relationships between environment (natural and built) and society.
