Giorgio Spini, dalla teologia dialettica al Partito d'Azione
95-113 p.
This interview traces Giorgio Spini's intellectual development and political activity during his involvement with the antifascist conspiracy, his participation in the struggle against the German occupation of Italy and the process of democratization. His Protestant education served as a backbone for his moral and civic conscience. Indeed, Spini asserted his affinity with the Italian Protestant communities, who were persecuted and often susceptible to poverty. These foundations formulated the basis of his political orientation, of striving for democracy and social justice. His opinions upon people, movements and the cultural approaches he encountered during his personal maturation and political activity were perceptive and often stern - especially in relation to pre-fascist positivist socialism; Italian idealism; liberalsocialism; liberal democratic and republican trends of anti-fascism; Italian and international communism.
