Cesare Vasoli passed away in Florence in April 2013. For almost 50 years he had been a leading scholar in the field of Renaissance intellectual history. His works contributed substantially to the new interpretation of this important period in European history, investigating its links both with the Middle Ages and the age of Scientific Revolution.
