Il migliorismo

The article examines the use of the term “migliorismo” in the Italian political debate at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The first section reconstructs the origin and evolution of this expression used to refer to a composite area of the Italian Communist Party (Partito Comunista Italiano, PCI). The second section focuses on the main ideas substantiating this particular political vision after the dissolution of the PCI and the subsequent founding of the Democratic Party of the Left.
