Through research in the archives of Diego Fabbri and an analysis of Italian translations of Demons (Besy), Antonella Cavazza is attempting to explain how Fabbri adapted the Russian novel by Dostoyevsky, both in content and style, for the Italian theatre. What was Fabbri deeply struke by in the work that Dostoyevsky first published in the review "Russkij Vestnik" between 1871 and 1872?
